A balconette bra creates a squared off neckline. It is structured and supportive through the centre front and lifts the bust from the bottom of the cups giving a nice fullness to your bust. A balconette bra provides the "va va voom" without the plunging overspill. Balconette bras are usually made up of three or four pieces of fabric, the most important being the side support panel that wraps around the side of the bust and attaches to the shoulder strap. The idea of this side panel is to project the bust forward creating a minimising look. Balconette bras are mostly pretty, as they are finished off with beautiful laces and satin. The structure and support comes from the bottom half of the cup as the fabric is laminated to reduce any forgiveness that will compromise the support. Our fitters love using balconette bras on their customers as a confidence booster. They provide the perfect shape under a lot of figure hugging dresses, especially ones with a square neckline.
