If you've ever wondered how a bra fitting can possibly work over Zoom, you're not alone. It's one of the most common questions we hear. The good news is that a virtual fitting is much simpler - and much more relaxed - than most people expect. You'll meet one of DeBra's highly trained fitters over Zoom, from the comfort and privacy of your own home, and they'll guide you through the same fitting process we use in store.

For most customers, a virtual fitting is just as effective as an in-store appointment. It's a chance to ask questions, talk through any fit issues you're experiencing, and receive personalised recommendations based on your shape, lifestyle, and preferences - all without needing to travel.

Whether you live regionally, have a busy schedule, find travelling difficult, or simply prefer the convenience of shopping from home, our virtual fittings make expert bra fitting advice accessible wherever you are. We regularly help customers right across Australia and, in many cases, internationally too. If we can ship to you, chances are we can fit you.

Here's exactly what to expect, from booking your appointment through to receiving your bras.

Who Is a Virtual Fitting Best For?

DeBra's virtual fitting service was designed for customers who cannot easily get to one of our stores - whether that's because of location, time, mobility, travel limitations, or simply personal preference. It is particularly well suited to:

  • Women who live outside Western Sydney or the Gold Coast
  • Regional and rural customers who don't have access to specialist bra fitting services locally
  • Customers who prefer the privacy and convenience of shopping from home
  • Time-poor women who find it easier to book a video call than travel to a store
  • Anyone recovering from injury, managing mobility challenges, or finding travel difficult at the moment
  • Women who feel nervous about a fitting appointment and would feel more comfortable starting from familiar surroundings

Most customers are surprised by how relaxed the process feels. It is not a formal assessment or a sales appointment - it is simply a conversation between you and one of our highly trained fitters, just as it would be in store. The only practical difference is that you're in your own space rather than one of our fitting rooms.

Step 1: Book Your Appointment

Use the Book Now button on the virtual fittings page to find a date and time that works for you. Appointments are available throughout the week, and you will receive a confirmation with a Zoom meeting link once your booking is confirmed.

Step 2: Prepare at Home

Before your appointment, a few simple preparations will help your fitter get the most out of your session:

  • Wear the bra you currently wear most often, or the one you feel fits you best. It doesn't need to be perfect - in fact, many women book a fitting because none of their bras fit properly. Even an old favourite or a bra that's causing problems can give your fitter valuable clues about what will work better for you.
  • Have one or two other bras nearby if possible, particularly any that you find uncomfortable or don't feel quite right in
  • Find a private, well-lit space where your fitter can clearly see how your bra is sitting
  • Wear something easy to change in and out of during the appointment

Please don't worry if you don't know your size or have no idea what you're looking for - that's exactly what we're here to help with.

One question we get asked all the time is whether you'll need to be topless or show your breasts during a fitting. The answer is no. Not during a virtual fitting, and not during an in-store fitting. Your fitter assesses how your bra fits while you're wearing it, so you'll never be asked to remove your bra on camera.

Step 3: Your Fitting Appointment

At your appointment time, your DeBra's fitter will join the Zoom call from one of our private in-store fitting rooms. The conversation begins the same way an in-store fitting does - your fitter will ask about your current bra, what you find uncomfortable, your lifestyle, and what you are hoping to find.

From there, your fitter will guide you through assessing how your current bra fits on your body - looking at band placement, cup coverage, strap positioning, and underwire placement. This gives your fitter the information needed to identify your size, assess your shape, and recommend the styles most likely to work for you.

Your fitter will then talk you through a curated selection of styles from DeBra's range that suit your size, shape, and what you are looking for. They can share their screen to show you products, walk you through features, and answer questions in real time - just as they would in a fitting room.

Step 4: Choosing Your Bras

Once you and your fitter have identified the styles that are right for you, your order can be placed directly from the call. DeBra's offers complimentary shipping on orders over $150 within Australia, so your bras arrive at your door without the trip to the store.

If you want to think about your options before ordering, that is completely fine. Your fitter will note your size and the styles recommended so you can shop at your own pace through the website.

What If the Bras Don't Fit When They Arrive?

This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and the good news is that you're not on your own once the fitting ends.

If a style doesn't feel quite right when it arrives, you can return or exchange it in line with our returns policy. Customers are responsible for sending items back to us, and we'll cover the shipping cost of sending your replacement size or style back out to you.

We also offer complimentary follow-up virtual fitting appointments. These short appointments give your fitter the opportunity to assess how your new bras are fitting, confirm whether the size is correct, and make any adjustments if needed. If an exchange is required, your fitter can guide you through exactly what needs to change, taking the guesswork out of the process.

Many customers find that this ongoing support gives them the confidence to try virtual fitting in the first place. Our goal isn't simply to recommend a size and hope for the best - it's to work with you until we find the right fit.

If you have questions at any stage, our team is also available via Live Chat during business hours.

Is a Virtual Fitting as Good as an In-Store Fitting?

For most customers, absolutely.

The conversation, assessment, recommendations, and expertise are exactly the same. Our fitters are highly trained to assess bra fit visually, so a virtual fitting allows us to identify sizing issues, shape considerations, and suitable styles just as we would in store.

The biggest difference is that your fitter can't physically hand you bras to try on during the appointment. Instead, they'll guide you through the fit of your current bras and recommend styles based on your shape, needs, and preferences.

There are some situations where an in-store appointment may be beneficial if it's available to you. For example, customers exploring breast forms or prosthesis options after mastectomy surgery often find it helpful to try different products directly on the body and compare shapes, weights, and sizes in person.

That said, we understand that travelling to a store isn't always possible. If you need assistance with a mastectomy fitting and can't visit us in person, please get in touch. Our team has supported customers through virtual mastectomy fittings in the past and will always do our best to find a solution that works for you.
