Top Lingerie Items You Need for Trave...
Packing lingerie for a trip seems simple until you're standing at the airport with a suitcase that won't close. The wrong bras take up too much space, get crushed in transit, and leave you uncomfortable on a long flight. The right ones pack flat, do double duty across different activities, and make every outfit work. Here is what we keep in our travel kit - whether we're heading interstate for a long weekend or boarding an international flight. 1. A Supportive Bra That Travels Well Spacer bras are the ideal travel bra. The 3D breathable cups keep you cool on long flights and in warm climates, the moulded shape holds up without getting crushed in a suitcase, and the smooth finish works under everything from a linen shirt to a poolside dress. The Panache Allure Underwired Moulded Spacer Bra is a standout choice. Lightweight, seamless under clothing, and the clip fastening converts to a racerback when you need extra security on active days. One spacer bra carries you comfortably through sightseeing, a nice dinner, and a beach day without needing a swap. 2. Underwear You Can Rely On While Travelling The Fantasie Smoothease Invisible Stretch Full Brief is practically built for travel. The fabric is quick-drying, completely seam-free, and so lightweight that several pairs take up barely any space in your bag. They sit invisibly under everything, which matters when you're rewearing outfits across multiple days - no visible lines, no bunching, no discomfort on long days of walking. The Smoothease range also includes a thong, midi brief, and anti-chafing short, making it an easy travel essential no matter your preferred coverage or outfit. Check out the full Smoothease collection to build a lightweight, mix-and-match travel underwear drawer that works for every day of your trip. 3. A Wire-Free Bra for Travel Days Long-haul flights, airport queues, and full days on your feet all call for a bra that won't dig or restrict. A wire-free style is the practical choice for travel days - comfortable enough to wear for 12+ hours, but supportive enough to feel put-together when you land. The Primadonna Nudda Non Wired Minimiser Bralette is a great option here. Pull-on with no hooks to fumble with, bonded edges that sit invisibly under any fabric, and a bonded spacer cradle that gives fuller busts genuine support. It pairs perfectly with the Smoothease briefs, so you can pack a coordinated set that takes up virtually no luggage space. 4. A Bra That Survives Your Suitcase While we believe a good spacer bra earns its place in most suitcases, it's also worth packing a bra that's a little more forgiving when luggage space is tight. Softer, less structured styles can often be folded more easily and take up less room in your luggage, making them a practical addition to your travel wardrobe. The Elomi Lucie Stretch Plunge Bra is a great example, with lightweight construction that packs easily while still providing support and a smooth finish under clothing. Versatile enough for sightseeing, dinners, and everything in between, it's the kind of bra you'll find yourself reaching for throughout your trip. 5. A Good Sports Bra Whether you're hitting a hotel gym, going for a morning run along the beach, tackling a big sightseeing day, or simply racking up kilometres exploring a new city, a good sports bra earns its place in the suitcase. The extra support can make long days on your feet far more comfortable, and many styles also double as a travel day bra for those who prefer a more secure fit on long flights. The Panache Endurance Non Padded Wired Sports Bra is compact and high-performing. The breathable performance fabric dries quickly after a workout so it's ready to go again the next morning, and the J-hook converts to a racerback for training sessions. 6. A Great Bikini Top A well-fitted bikini top is one of the most underrated travel items. The right one supports your bust the way a bra does, so you can swim, snorkel, or play in the waves without constantly readjusting. But a great bikini top can also work beyond the beach. Many bra-sized styles offer enough support to double as a bra under a linen shirt, casual dress, or sightseeing outfit, making them a versatile addition to your holiday wardrobe when you're moving between the pool, beach, and everything in between. The Freya Jewel Cove Underwired High Apex Bikini Top is a classic for good reason. Powernet-lined cups provide real support across a wide size range, the J-hook converts to a racerback for active water days, and the design mixes with a range of bottoms so one top covers multiple beach looks. Browse the full bikini top collection to find the right fit. Build Your Travel Kit at DeBra's A good rule of thumb is one bra per three to four days of travel, plus a sports bra and bikini top if your trip calls for it. Lightweight, quick-dry fabrics mean you can hand wash and have everything ready again by morning - so a small, well-chosen collection goes further than a large one. For a more detailed breakdown, read our guide on how many bras you need for travel. DeBra's stocks all the styles in this list, with expert fitters who can help you find the right fit for your shape and your trip. What to Expect at a Virtual Bra Fitting
If you've ever wondered how a bra fitting can possibly work over Zoom, you're not alone. It's one of the most common questions we hear. The good news is that a virtual fitting is much simpler - and much more relaxed - than most people expect. You'll meet one of DeBra's highly trained fitters over Zoom, from the comfort and privacy of your own home, and they'll guide you through the same fitting process we use in store. For most customers, a virtual fitting is just as effective as an in-store appointment. It's a chance to ask questions, talk through any fit issues you're experiencing, and receive personalised recommendations based on your shape, lifestyle, and preferences - all without needing to travel. Whether you live regionally, have a busy schedule, find travelling difficult, or simply prefer the convenience of shopping from home, our virtual fittings make expert bra fitting advice accessible wherever you are. We regularly help customers right across Australia and, in many cases, internationally too. If we can ship to you, chances are we can fit you. Here's exactly what to expect, from booking your appointment through to receiving your bras. Who Is a Virtual Fitting Best For? DeBra's virtual fitting service was designed for customers who cannot easily get to one of our stores - whether that's because of location, time, mobility, travel limitations, or simply personal preference. It is particularly well suited to: Women who live outside Western Sydney or the Gold Coast Regional and rural customers who don't have access to specialist bra fitting services locally Customers who prefer the privacy and convenience of shopping from home Time-poor women who find it easier to book a video call than travel to a store Anyone recovering from injury, managing mobility challenges, or finding travel difficult at the moment Women who feel nervous about a fitting appointment and would feel more comfortable starting from familiar surroundings Most customers are surprised by how relaxed the process feels. It is not a formal assessment or a sales appointment - it is simply a conversation between you and one of our highly trained fitters, just as it would be in store. The only practical difference is that you're in your own space rather than one of our fitting rooms. Step 1: Book Your Appointment Use the Book Now button on the virtual fittings page to find a date and time that works for you. Appointments are available throughout the week, and you will receive a confirmation with a Zoom meeting link once your booking is confirmed. Step 2: Prepare at Home Before your appointment, a few simple preparations will help your fitter get the most out of your session: Wear the bra you currently wear most often, or the one you feel fits you best. It doesn't need to be perfect - in fact, many women book a fitting because none of their bras fit properly. Even an old favourite or a bra that's causing problems can give your fitter valuable clues about what will work better for you. Have one or two other bras nearby if possible, particularly any that you find uncomfortable or don't feel quite right in Find a private, well-lit space where your fitter can clearly see how your bra is sitting Wear something easy to change in and out of during the appointment Please don't worry if you don't know your size or have no idea what you're looking for - that's exactly what we're here to help with. One question we get asked all the time is whether you'll need to be topless or show your breasts during a fitting. The answer is no. Not during a virtual fitting, and not during an in-store fitting. Your fitter assesses how your bra fits while you're wearing it, so you'll never be asked to remove your bra on camera. Step 3: Your Fitting Appointment At your appointment time, your DeBra's fitter will join the Zoom call from one of our private in-store fitting rooms. The conversation begins the same way an in-store fitting does - your fitter will ask about your current bra, what you find uncomfortable, your lifestyle, and what you are hoping to find. From there, your fitter will guide you through assessing how your current bra fits on your body - looking at band placement, cup coverage, strap positioning, and underwire placement. This gives your fitter the information needed to identify your size, assess your shape, and recommend the styles most likely to work for you. Your fitter will then talk you through a curated selection of styles from DeBra's range that suit your size, shape, and what you are looking for. They can share their screen to show you products, walk you through features, and answer questions in real time - just as they would in a fitting room. Step 4: Choosing Your Bras Once you and your fitter have identified the styles that are right for you, your order can be placed directly from the call. DeBra's offers complimentary shipping on orders over $150 within Australia, so your bras arrive at your door without the trip to the store. If you want to think about your options before ordering, that is completely fine. Your fitter will note your size and the styles recommended so you can shop at your own pace through the website. What If the Bras Don't Fit When They Arrive? This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and the good news is that you're not on your own once the fitting ends. If a style doesn't feel quite right when it arrives, you can return or exchange it in line with our returns policy. Customers are responsible for sending items back to us, and we'll cover the shipping cost of sending your replacement size or style back out to you. We also offer complimentary follow-up virtual fitting appointments. These short appointments give your fitter the opportunity to assess how your new bras are fitting, confirm whether the size is correct, and make any adjustments if needed. If an exchange is required, your fitter can guide you through exactly what needs to change, taking the guesswork out of the process. Many customers find that this ongoing support gives them the confidence to try virtual fitting in the first place. Our goal isn't simply to recommend a size and hope for the best - it's to work with you until we find the right fit. If you have questions at any stage, our team is also available via Live Chat during business hours. Is a Virtual Fitting as Good as an In-Store Fitting? For most customers, absolutely. The conversation, assessment, recommendations, and expertise are exactly the same. Our fitters are highly trained to assess bra fit visually, so a virtual fitting allows us to identify sizing issues, shape considerations, and suitable styles just as we would in store. The biggest difference is that your fitter can't physically hand you bras to try on during the appointment. Instead, they'll guide you through the fit of your current bras and recommend styles based on your shape, needs, and preferences. There are some situations where an in-store appointment may be beneficial if it's available to you. For example, customers exploring breast forms or prosthesis options after mastectomy surgery often find it helpful to try different products directly on the body and compare shapes, weights, and sizes in person. That said, we understand that travelling to a store isn't always possible. If you need assistance with a mastectomy fitting and can't visit us in person, please get in touch. Our team has supported customers through virtual mastectomy fittings in the past and will always do our best to find a solution that works for you. Book Your Free Virtual Fitting at DeBra's Whether you've never had a professional bra fitting before, you're struggling to find the right size, or you simply don't have easy access to one of our stores, a virtual fitting is an easy way to get expert advice from the comfort of home. Our virtual fittings are complimentary, typically take around 30 minutes, and are designed to feel more like a conversation than an appointment. You'll be guided by one of our experienced fitters every step of the way, with ongoing support available if you need help once your bras arrive. Wherever you are in Australia - and in many cases internationally too - we're here to help you find bras that fit properly, feel comfortable, and give you the support you deserve. Book your complimentary virtual fitting appointment today and discover why so many women are surprised by just how easy the process can be.

What to Expect at Your First Bra Fitting
If you've never had a professional bra fitting before, it's completely normal to feel a little unsure about what to expect. In fact, some of the most common concerns we hear are "Will it be awkward?" and "What actually happens during a fitting?" The good news is that a bra fitting is straightforward, relaxed, and entirely focused on helping you feel comfortable. Most appointments take around 30 minutes, and many women leave wondering why they didn't do it sooner. Here's exactly what to expect when you book an in-store fitting at DeBra's. Before Your Appointment Fittings at DeBra's are free and available by appointment. You can book online at your preferred time for either the Penrith or Gold Coast store. A few things that will help your fitting go smoothly: Wear a bra you already own - your fitter will assess how your current bra fits as part of the process, which gives valuable information about what needs to change You do not need to have any idea of your size - that is exactly what the fitting is for There is no obligation to buy anything - the fitting is genuinely free and the goal is to find you the right fit, not to sell you the most expensive bra in the room If you'd like to see how a bra looks under clothing, don't worry about bringing a fitted top. We keep white T-shirts in our fitting rooms specifically for this purpose, allowing you to see how different styles look and feel under everyday clothing before making a decision. Why We Recommend Booking Ahead While we always welcome walk-in customers, booking your fitting is the best way to ensure you receive dedicated time with one of our fitters. Some days are much busier than others, and it can be difficult to predict when the fitting rooms will be fully booked. Customers with appointments are given priority, so walking in on a busy day may mean waiting for the next available fitter. When you book, we reserve both a fitting room and a fitter specifically for you, helping everything run smoothly from the moment you arrive. Although fitting appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, that's simply a guide. If you need a little longer to explore different styles, ask questions, or compare options, that's absolutely fine. Our fitters will never rush you - we're here to help you find the right fit, however long that takes. When You Arrive You will be greeted by one of DeBra's female fitters and taken to a private fitting room. The fitting rooms are designed for privacy and comfort - you will not be in an open space or a shared area. Your fitter will start by asking a few simple questions: what you are finding uncomfortable about your current bra, what you tend to wear day-to-day, whether you have any specific concerns about fit, and whether there are particular styles you like or want to avoid. This conversation shapes the whole appointment - your fitter is building a picture of what you actually need, not just your measurements. Most customers are surprised by how conversational the process feels. Rather than focusing on numbers or measurements alone, your fitter is there to understand what's working, what's not, and how your bras fit into your everyday life. There is no judgement, no pressure, and no expectation that you should already know your size or what styles suit you. The Fitting Itself DeBra's fitters do not rely on a tape measure alone. While measurements can be a useful starting point, the fitting happens on your body - with bras on - rather than from numbers on paper. Every body is different, and breast shape, tissue density, and natural position all affect how a size fits, in ways a measuring tape cannot capture. Your fitter will bring in several styles in a starting size and guide you through what to look for in each: Whether the band sits level and firm around the ribcage without riding up Whether the underwire (if present) sits flat against the body beneath the breast tissue, not on it Whether the cup fully contains the breast tissue without gaping, pinching, or spillage at the edges Whether the centre gore (the piece between the cups) lies flat against the sternum Whether the straps sit comfortably without digging or slipping One question we hear regularly is whether you'll need to be topless during the fitting. The answer is no. Your fitter assesses how bras fit while you're wearing them, and will step out of the fitting room whenever you need to change. Your comfort and privacy are always the priority. You will try on multiple styles. Some will be right, some will not - and your fitter will explain why as you go. This is one of the most valuable parts of a fitting. Your fitter won't just tell you whether a bra works - they'll explain why. You'll learn what good fit looks and feels like, what features suit your shape, and what to look for when shopping in the future. Many customers tell us they leave feeling like they've had a mini bra-fitting education as well as found a great bra. Why Size Isn't the Only Thing We Look At Finding the right bra is about much more than identifying a size. Two women can wear exactly the same size and suit completely different styles depending on their breast shape, tissue distribution, and personal preferences. That's why your fitter is looking at both size and shape throughout the appointment. A bra that technically fits can still feel uncomfortable or unsupportive if the style isn't suited to your body. Part of your fitter's job is helping narrow down which styles are likely to work best for you, so you're not left guessing. This is why shape matters as much as size - and why the fitting conversation covers both. For more on how shape affects bra fit, read our guide on breast shapes and which bras suit them. More Than What's on the Shop Floor Some customers visit DeBra's planning to simply browse, and you're absolutely welcome to do that. What many people don't realise, however, is that what you see on the shop floor is only part of the range available. Our fitters have access to additional sizes, styles, colours, and options that may not be displayed at the time of your visit. More importantly, they know the collection inside and out. If you're looking for something specific - perhaps a bra that stays hidden under a particular neckline, a style that prevents strap slippage, a supportive wire-free option, or a solution to a fit problem you've struggled with for years - chances are your fitter already knows exactly where to start. One of the biggest benefits of a fitting is having someone who understands the range guide you towards styles that suit your shape, needs, and preferences. It often means discovering options you may never have picked up on your own. Trying Styles and Making Decisions Once your fitter has established your correct size and the styles that suit your shape, you will try on a selection of bras from DeBra's range. You are welcome to take your time, move around in the fitting room, and ask as many questions as you want. There is no pressure to decide quickly or to buy a specific style. If you love everything you try, great. If you need to think about it, that is completely fine too. Many customers return after a fitting to make their purchase once they have had time to consider their options. How Long Does a Fitting Take? A standard fitting takes around 30 minutes, though this can vary depending on how many styles you want to explore. If you have specific requirements - such as post-surgery fitting, maternity fitting, or mastectomy fitting - allow a little extra time. It's worth it. After Your Fitting You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your size, the styles that suit your shape, and the features that make the biggest difference to your comfort and support. This knowledge is genuinely useful every time you shop for bras in the future, whether that's with us or elsewhere. Whether you leave with one bra, several bras, or simply a better understanding of what works for your body, our goal is the same: to help you feel more comfortable, more confident, and better supported than when you arrived. If getting to a store is difficult, DeBra's also offers complimentary virtual fitting by Zoom, bringing the same expert guidance into the comfort of your own home. Ready to experience the difference for yourself? Book a complimentary fitting at our Penrith or Gold Coast store and let one of our experienced fitters help you find the right size, shape, and support for your body.

Looking After Your Breast Form or Shaper
Whether you wear your breast form every day or for specific occasions, it is an important investment in your comfort, confidence, and wellbeing. With a little regular care, your Amoena prosthesis can continue to provide a natural look and feel for years to come. The best news is that caring for your breast form is quick and easy, and once it's part of your daily routine, it requires very little time or effort. Daily Cleaning The simplest approach is to wash your breast form when you wash your face at night - it takes less than a minute. Use lukewarm water and a gentle, oil-free cleanser. Amoena's Soft Clean Breast Form Cleanser is specifically formulated for silicone breast forms and is the product our team recommends. It cleans without leaving any residue that could affect the skin or, for adhesive forms, the adhesive surface. Gently wash the surface with your hands or a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, then pat dry with a soft towel. Never rub vigorously - gentle is always the approach with silicone. If you wear your form daily, clean it daily. If you wear it occasionally, clean it before and after each use. What to Avoid A few habits can shorten the life of your breast form significantly. Keep these in mind: No heat sources - avoid hair dryers, direct sunlight, and tumble dryers. Heat degrades silicone over time. No harsh chemicals, alcohol-based products, or abrasive sponges. These damage the silicone surface. No oils, perfumes, or body lotion on your chest before wearing your form - these can affect adhesion and the silicone surface. No sharp objects near the form - remove jewellery before handling, and keep brooches, fingernails, and pins away. Piercing the silicone can cause it to leak and lose its shape. Special Care for Adhesive (Contact) Forms If you wear an Amoena Contact adhesive breast form, the adhesive surface needs specific attention to maintain its sticking strength. Apply three drops of Amoena Soft Clean directly onto the dry adhesive surface, moisten a soft brush with lukewarm water, or use your hands to scrub in circular movements for about three minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then place the form adhesive-side up on a towel to air dry before replacing the protective sheet. Daily cleaning of the adhesive surface actually reactivates its strength - so regular care means better adhesion, not less. Storing Your Breast Form Always store your breast form in the shaped mould inside the box it came in. This keeps it in the correct position and protects it from dust and deformation. If you travel frequently, Amoena also offer specially designed carrying cases that help keep your breast form safe and properly supported while you're on the go. Although we don't routinely stock these cases, we can often arrange a special order. Simply speak with one of our mastectomy fitting specialists or contact our team and we'll be happy to help explore the available options with you. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Even indirect sun exposure over time can degrade the silicone, so a drawer or cupboard is always preferable to a windowsill or bathroom shelf. After Swimming We do not recommend swimming in a standard silicone breast form. Chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, and other pool or beach chemicals can damage the silicone over time and may shorten the lifespan of your breast form. For women who enjoy swimming regularly, we recommend choosing a dedicated swim form such as the Amoena Aqua Wave Swim Form. Lightweight, chlorine resistant, and specifically designed for use in the water, it offers a more suitable and durable solution for swimming and water-based activities. To keep it in excellent condition, wash it after each swim using cool or warm water and a mild soap, rinse thoroughly, gently pat dry with a soft towel, and store it flat in a cool, dry place once completely dry. If you do choose to wear a standard breast form in the water, it is important to rinse it thoroughly as soon as possible after swimming using cool or lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser to remove chlorine, salt, and sunscreen residue. Pat dry with a soft towel and allow it to air dry completely before storing. For foam forms, gently squeeze out excess water rather than wringing. How Long Should a Breast Form Last? With the right care, a quality silicone breast form can provide comfort and confidence for two years or more. When the time comes for a replacement, Medicare and some private health funds may help cover the cost of a new prosthesis. Our team will be happy to discuss your options and answer any questions during your fitting appointment. If your breast form has changed shape, developed an unusual odour, or the adhesive surface is no longer holding, it may be time to look at a replacement. Book a mastectomy fitting appointment, and our consultants will assess your current form and guide you through your options.

East West Breast Shape Guide: Learn W...
Understanding your breast shape is one of the most important steps in finding a bra that truly fits. While many women focus only on bra size, breast shape plays just as big a role in comfort, support, and how a bra looks under clothing. This east-west breast shape guide will help you understand which bras work best if your breasts naturally sit wider on the chest and point outward. If you’ve ever felt like your bra technically fits but doesn’t quite create the shape you were hoping for, your breast shape may be the missing piece. What Is an East-West Breast Shape? East-west breasts are a common breast shape where the breast tissue is fuller toward the outer sides of the chest, with nipples pointing outward in opposite directions. They tend to sit further apart and are sometimes described as side-set breasts. This shape appears across many body frames and cup sizes, from smaller busts to fuller busts, including I cup sizes and beyond. It’s completely normal, it simply means certain bra styles will work better than others. East-west breast shapes often benefit from bras designed to gently guide the tissue inward, creating a more centred, rounded silhouette. How to Tell If You Have East-West Breasts You may have an east-west breast shape if: Your nipples point outward Your breasts sit wider apart on your chest Cleavage is harder to achieve in certain bras Your bra feels supportive but doesn’t create shape Accurate sizing is still essential. If you haven’t checked your size recently, start with our bra size guide or book a complimentary in-store fitting, virtual fitting, or phone consultation. The right size paired with the right shape-focused style makes all the difference. Why Breast Shape Matters When Choosing a Bra Different bra styles are designed to suit different tissue distribution. A bra that works beautifully for centre-full breasts may not work the same way for east-west breasts. For this shape, the goal is usually to: Bring the breasts slightly closer together Add forward projection Create a rounded, centred look Avoid pushing tissue further outward The right bra enhances your natural shape. The wrong one can exaggerate spacing or feel unsupportive, even if the size is technically correct. Best Bras for East-West Breast Shape Underwire Bras with Side Support Underwire bras are often one of the best choices for east-west breasts, particularly styles with side support panels or a hidden sling. These features gently guide tissue inward, improving projection and creating a more rounded shape. Structured styles like the Fantasie Illusion Side Support Bra are excellent examples of how side panels can reshape and centre the bust without feeling restrictive. Brands like Fantasie and Sculptresse are especially known for thoughtful side-support construction, and you can explore similar options in our underwire bras collection. If cleavage is something you struggle to achieve, this category is often the best place to start. Full Coverage Bras A well-designed full coverage bra helps contain breast tissue and prevent outward spread. Full cups provide stability and shaping, making them ideal for everyday wear when you want security and comfort. Styles like the Sculptresse Amara Underwired Full Cup Bra offer firm support while still creating a smooth, rounded silhouette under clothing. These bras are particularly useful under open necklines, workwear, or fitted tops where shape matters. You can browse our full range in the full coverage bras collection. T-shirt Bras T-shirt bras are excellent for east-west breasts when they include structured cups and light moulding. The key is finding a style that prevents outward spread while maintaining a smooth finish under clothing. A structured style such as the Fantasie Smoothease Moulded T Shirt Bra helps guide tissue forward while delivering a seamless look. These are perfect for everyday outfits, office wear, and fitted tops where you want shape without visible lines. Explore more in our t-shirt bras collection. Push-Up Bras Push-up bras are designed to lift and centre breast tissue, making them a great option for east-west breasts when you want more cleavage. Look for styles with angled padding, side support panels, or structured cups that guide tissue inward rather than just upward. These bras can create a rounded, full shape while keeping the breasts closer together, ideal for low-cut tops or dresses. A great example is the Marie Jo Jane Padded Push Up Bra. Browse more options in our push-up bras collection. Plunge Bras Plunge bras feature a lower centre front, making them perfect for tops and dresses with deep or narrow necklines. For east-west breasts, choose plunge styles with angled cups or side support to encourage the tissue to sit closer to the centre while still enhancing natural shape. Plunge bras provide lift without adding bulk and work well under V-necklines or deep-cut outfits, including event and occasion wear. Browse our party bras collection for plunge styles that flatter east west shapes. Check out our fitter faves such as the Elomi Nerina Plunge Bra or explore our full plunge bras collection for suitable styles. Wireless Bras with Structure While underwire bras are often recommended, a well-designed wire-free bra can absolutely work for east-west breasts especially if it includes reinforced panels, supportive bands, and structured cups. A style such as the Glamorise Magic Lift Posture Back Support Bra shows how wire-free does not mean unsupported. These are ideal for women who prioritise comfort but still want shaping and gentle centring. Browse supportive options in our wire-free bras collection. Sports Bras for East-West Breasts For activewear, east-west breasts benefit from sports bras that minimise bounce while keeping breast tissue centred. A high-quality option like the Elomi Energise Sports Bra combines encapsulation and compression to stabilise movement and prevent outward shift. Moisture-wicking fabrics and firm bands help maintain comfort during workouts. For lower-impact activity, styles like the Freya Sonic Spacer Sports Bra offer shape and support without feeling overly restrictive. Explore the full range in our sports bras collection. Bra Styles to Be Careful With Some bra styles may not be the best starting point for east-west breasts. Bras without side support or with very shallow cups can exaggerate spacing. Certain balconette styles may also require careful fitting to ensure they don’t push tissue outward. That doesn’t mean you can’t wear them, it simply means design and fit matter more. Other Breast Shapes to Be Aware Of East-west is just one of many breast shapes. Others include asymmetrical breasts, athletic breasts, side-set breasts, and more. Understanding your shape helps you make better bra choices across brands and styles. If you’re unsure which category you fall into, a professional fitting can provide clarity and confidence. Finding the Perfect Bra Fit at DeBra’s At DeBra’s, the perfect bra is about both size and shape. East west breasts have nipples that point outward in opposite directions, with tissue sitting fuller toward the outer sides of the chest. They tend to sit further apart and may be described as side-set or wide-set. What bra styles work best for east west breasts? Underwire bras with side support panels, full cup bras, structured T-shirt bras, push-up bras, and plunge styles all work well. The key feature to look for is side support to guide tissue inward. Can I wear a sports bra if I have east west breasts? Yes. Look for sports bras that combine encapsulation and compression to stabilise movement and keep breast tissue centred during activity such as the Elomi Energise or Freya Sonic. Why do standard bras not work well for east west breasts? Standard bras may not have enough side structure to redirect tissue inward, leaving the bust looking spread apart or unsupported. Bras with side panels or hidden slings are specifically designed for this. How do I know if I have east west breasts? Signs include nipples pointing outward, breasts sitting wider apart, difficulty creating cleavage in most bras, and a bra that feels supportive but doesn't create forward shape.

Side Set Breast Shape Guide: See Whic...
Understanding your natural breast shape is key to finding bras that fit comfortably and look amazing. If you have side set breasts, you may have struggled to find bras that support your bust while bringing it together in a flattering way. The good news? Once you understand your tissue distribution and shape, you can choose styles that work with your body rather than against it. What Are Side Set Breasts? Side set breasts are a natural shape where breast tissue sits further toward the sides of the chest, creating a wider gap at the centre. When you look down or in the mirror, the breasts naturally point slightly outward rather than straight ahead or toward each other. Many women have this shape, though it’s rarely discussed in mainstream fashion. This shape often comes with a wider root where the breast tissue attaches to the chest wall meaning tissue extends further toward the underarms. Side set breasts are distinct from wide-set breasts, where the breasts are simply spaced far apart, or east-west breasts, which point outward in opposite directions. For context, breast shapes vary widely. You might notice similarities with other shapes while still being distinctly side set: Tear-drop breasts: Fuller at the bottom with a gentle slope at the top. Bell-shaped breasts: Similar to tear-drop but often with more overall volume. Round breasts: Maintain fullness both top and bottom. Slender breasts: Narrower with less overall volume. Athletic breasts: More underlying muscle, giving wider tissue distribution. Asymmetrical breasts: Noticeable size or shape differences between left and right. Recognising side set breasts and seeing how they fit into the broader range of shapes makes it easier to identify bra styles that support, lift, and create a flattering silhouette. The Challenges of Side Set Breasts Women with side set breasts often notice: Gaps at the centre gore Cups that don’t fully contain breast tissue Difficulty creating cleavage Underwires digging into tissue at the sides These issues aren’t about your size being wrong, they’re about needing styles that accommodate the natural outward orientation of your breast tissue. The best bras for side set breasts address these challenges by gathering tissue from the sides toward the centre, supporting a wider root, incorporating side support panels to prevent migration, and creating cleavage if desired, all while staying comfortable for all-day wear. Best Bra Styles for Side Set Breasts Plunge Bras: Your Secret Weapon Plunge bras are perfect for side set breasts. The lower centre gore accommodates the wider spacing, while angled cups gently draw tissue inward to create cleavage. Look for plunge bras with side support panels or side slings, internal structures that guide breast tissue toward the centre. A great example our fitters recommend is the Elomi Matilda Plunge Bra, which provides natural shaping without relying on heavy padding. Push Up Bras for Enhanced Shape Push-up bras can enhance shape for side set breasts, especially those with graduated padding that lifts from the base and sides. The magic here isn’t extreme padding, it’s strategic cup construction that gently brings tissue forward. Our fitters often steer women toward styles like the Marie Jo Jane Padded Push Up Bra, which provides a subtle push-up effect while still feeling natural and comfortable. Balconette and Demi Bras Balconette bras feature cups cut straight across the top, typically covering about three-quarters of the breast. Those with inner slings or side support panels are excellent for side set breasts, drawing tissue inward and creating a rounded silhouette. A favourite example is the Panache Envy Balconette Bra. Demi bras like the Freya Offbeat Demi Bra offer similar benefits with slightly less coverage and are ideal for women who want lift and shaping without full-cup coverage. Both styles are versatile across cup sizes and padding preferences. Full Coverage Bras with Side Support For larger cup sizes or those seeking more coverage, full cup bras with side panels and multi-piece cups can encapsulate side-set tissue while drawing it inward. These bras provide support and shape without compressing the breasts unnaturally. A great option is the Fantasie Reflect Side Support Bra, which combines structured construction with a flattering silhouette. Features to Look For Side Support Panels and Slings – Vertical or internal fabric sections built into the cup that prevent tissue from migrating toward your underarms while gently guiding it toward the centre. These are essential for creating cleavage and a balanced shape. A great option for this feature is Fantasie bras, which are designed with expertly engineered side support. Angled or Diagonal Seams – Seams that follow the natural outward orientation of breast tissue, helping to redirect it inward without creating pressure or flattening the shape. Look at styles like the Keira Banded Bra for expertly placed diagonal seams. Lower or Narrower Centre Gores – A lower or narrower gore sits comfortably between the breasts, reducing gaps at the centre and avoiding digging into tissue while accommodating the wider spacing of side set breasts. A good example is the Panache Ana Plunge Bra. Adequate Wire Width – Underwires need to encompass all the breast tissue, including tissue that extends toward the sides. Proper wire width ensures the bra supports your shape rather than sitting on top of tissue uncomfortably. Fantasie bras are also excellent here, with wide wires engineered to fully support your shape. Styles to Approach with Caution T-Shirt Bras Without Side Support – Basic seamless or moulded cups might feel smooth under clothes, but they often lack the structure needed to gather side set tissue. Without side panels or multiple fabric pieces, the cups can leave breast tissue sitting wide, reducing cleavage and support. Triangle and Wireless Styles – Soft triangle bras and many wireless options don’t provide enough structure to guide side set breasts inward. While comfortable for lounging, they may not give the lift, shaping, or containment needed for everyday wear. Some wireless bras with built-in side support can work, but it depends on the design. Wide-Set Balconette Styles – Balconettes with cups spaced too far apart or a high centre gore can exacerbate the outward positioning of side set breasts. Check the gore height and width carefully, the right balconette should lift, support, and gently draw tissue inward, rather than leaving gaps. Finding the Right Sports Bra Active Support for Side Set Breasts Side set breasts need a sports bra that supports each breast individually while preventing tissue from spreading outward during movement. Sports bras with separate cups usually work better than compression styles, keeping tissue centred and supported. Look for adjustable straps, a wide underband, and side support panels to guide tissue inward comfortably. Panache Sports Bras are ideal here, with expertly engineered side support panels. For larger cups, underwired sports bras provide extra lift and containment, combining the gathering effect of side panels with the stability of wired construction. Proper fit ensures support, reduces bounce, and keeps breasts comfortable during high-impact activity. A strong option for this is the Energise Sports Bra from Elomi. Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between side set and east west breasts? Side set breasts have tissue that sits toward the outer chest wall with a wider gap at the centre. East west breasts point outward. While similar, side set refers more to tissue placement and spacing rather than nipple direction. What bra features help side set breasts the most? Look for side support panels or internal slings, angled or diagonal seams, a lower or narrower centre gore, and underwires wide enough to encompass all the tissue including what sits near the underarms. Are plunge bras good for side set breasts? Yes. Plunge bras are a top recommendation for side set breasts because the lower centre gore accommodates wider spacing and angled cups draw tissue inward to create cleavage. Should I avoid T-shirt bras if I have side set breasts? Basic seamless or moulded T-shirt bras without side support can leave tissue sitting wide. If you prefer a T-shirt bra, choose one with multiple cup sections or built-in side panels. What sports bra works best for side set breasts? Sports bras with separate cups and side support panels work best, keeping tissue centred during movement. For larger cups, underwired sports bras add extra lift and containment.

The Best Support Bras Ranked by Suppo...
Finding the perfect bra can feel overwhelming, especially when comfort, lift and support all matter just as much as style. From everyday bras to sports bras and wire-free designs, not all bras offer the same level of support. Understanding how different support levels work helps you choose the right bra for your body, lifestyle and outfits. This guide breaks down bras by support level so you can find the most suitable option for everyday wear, workouts or special outfits including our party bras collection for nights out and occasion dressing without compromising comfort. Understanding Bra Support Levels Support level refers to how well a bra lifts, holds and stabilises breast tissue. The right level depends on your breast shape, size, band and cup, as well as how you plan to wear the bra day to day. Support level generally falls into four categories: Light support Medium support High support Maximum support Each level serves a different purpose, from relaxing at home to high-impact activity, helping you choose a bra that suits your lifestyle. Light Support Bras Light support bras prioritise comfort and flexibility over structure. Perfect for lounging at home, sleeping, running errands, or relaxed weekend outings, they provide gentle shaping without restricting movement. Many feature soft fabrics, delicate lace, gentle straps, or minimal lining for a natural silhouette. Best Light Support Bra Styles Wire-free bras, bralettes, and lightly lined designs are popular here. Many feature breathable fabrics, soft lace, and smooth straps for all-day comfort, such as the Elomi Downtime Non Wired Bralette. While these styles may feel lighter, our wire-free options go up to a K cup, proving that light support doesn’t mean limited sizing. For lift and stability without underwire, our team can also recommend high-support wire-free options. Perfect for sleep, lounging, casual outings, or adding a touch of pretty style to your day. Browse our wire-free bras and bralettes collections. Medium Support Bras Medium support bras strike the perfect balance between comfort and structure, making them ideal for everyday wear. Great for work, school runs, errands, coffee dates, or when you want a smooth, supportive look under fitted tops. Best Medium Support Bra Styles T-shirt bras, everyday bras, and lightly padded bras usually fall into this category. Many feature molded cups, adjustable straps, supportive bands, or side support panels for comfort and lift, such as the Fantasie Reflect Underwired Side Support Bra. Wire-free bras can also offer medium support with reinforced panels and wider straps, such as the Glamorise Magic Lift Full Figure Support Bra. Medium support bras provide lift, shaping, and everyday wearability, making them versatile for long hours and multiple outfit styles. Explore our everyday bras and t-shirt bras collections. High Support Bras High support bras are designed for women who need more lift, particularly those with larger busts or long days on the go. These bras provide added structure, comfort, and stability, ideal for heavier fabrics, longer periods on your feet, or when you need extra containment. Best High Support Bra Styles Underwired bras, full-coverage bras, and bras with wide, padded straps are common. Features like reinforced bands, side support panels, and cushioned straps help distribute weight and improve comfort, such as the Glamorise Magic Lift Posture Back Support Bra. High support bras are perfect for everyday wear when you want security and shape without compromising comfort. Explore our underwired bras and full coverage bras collections. Maximum Support Bras Maximum support bras provide the highest level of lift, stability, and control. Essential for high-impact activities or when ultimate security is required, these bras minimise movement and maintain shape during intense activity. Best Maximum Support Bra Styles High-impact sports bras, full coverage sports bras, and bras combining encapsulation and compression are ideal. Adjustable wide straps, strong bands, breathable fabrics, and sometimes molded cups or removable pads ensure comfort and performance, such as the Primadonna The Game Non Padded Wired Sports Bra and the Panache Endurance Non Padded Wired Sports Bra. Maximum support bras are perfect for running, HIIT, gym sessions, or other high-intensity activities. Browse our sports bras collection here. Choosing the Right Support Bra for Your Body The right bra starts with the correct size. Knowing your band and cup ensures the band supports your bust while cups lift and shape correctly. Larger busts often rely on the band more than straps for support, while smaller busts may find light support sufficient for certain activities. If you struggle with uncomfortable underwire, many wire-free bras now offer added structure and support, making them suitable across multiple support levels. The Best Support Bras at DeBra’s At DeBra’s, we understand every woman has unique support needs. Our curated collection spans all levels, from light everyday bras to maximum-support sports bras. Our experienced fitting experts help you find the perfect bra based on your body, lifestyle, and comfort preferences. DeBra’s offers complimentary in-store fittings, virtual appointments, phone consultations, and live chat support. Whether you are shopping for an everyday bra, light lounge bra, or maximum support for high-impact activity, our team is here to help you feel confident, comfortable, and supported all day long. Frequently Asked Questions What are the four support levels in bras? Bra support is generally categorised as light (bralettes, wire-free), medium (T-shirt bras, everyday styles), high (underwired, full coverage), and maximum (high-impact sports bras with encapsulation and compression). Which bra support level is right for everyday wear? Medium support bras are ideal for everyday wear, they balance comfort and structure for long hours at work, school runs, and general daily activity. Can wire-free bras provide high support? Yes. Wire-free bras with reinforced panels, wide straps, and firm underbands can offer medium to high support, particularly for smaller bust sizes. Some styles go up to a K cup. What bra is best for high-impact exercise? Maximum support sports bras that combine encapsulation and compression are best for high-impact activity. Look for adjustable wide straps, a strong underband, and breathable fabric. How do I know if my bra isn't supportive enough? Signs include straps digging in or slipping, the band riding up, breast movement during activity, and discomfort after wearing the bra for several hours.

Understanding Sister Sizing for the P...
Finding a sports bra that truly fits can feel like a game-changer. Many women understandably assume their usual size will work across all brands and styles, but that isn’t always the case. Understanding sister sizing can help you make small adjustments that dramatically improve fit, support, and comfort during activity. Once you know how sister sizes work, finding the right sports bra for your body becomes much easier. This guide explains bra sizing, sister sizes, and how to use them to find a sports bra that fits perfectly. What Is Sister Sizing in Bra Fitting? Sister sizing refers to bra sizes that share the same cup volume but have different band sizes. In simple terms, when you go up a band size, you go down a cup size and vice versa. The cup letter changes, but the cup volume remains the same. Examples of sister sizes: A 12G and a 14FF have the same cup volume A 18E and a 20DD are also sister sizes Understanding sister sizes allows you to adjust your fit when your usual size feels too tight, too loose, or just slightly off in a particular brand or style. Why Sister Sizing Matters for Sports Bras Sports bras place different demands on the body compared to everyday bras. They need to minimise movement, provide support, and stay secure through activity. A slight difference in band or cup fit can significantly affect comfort and support. It’s also worth noting that sports bras are designed to fit slightly firmer than everyday bras, this increases support and helps reduce bounce during high-impact activity. Knowing how sister sizing works can help you adjust your band or cup when trying a new style, brand, or design, so you get the perfect combination of comfort, support, and performance. How Sister Sizing Works Sister sizing works by adjusting the band while keeping the cup volume the same: If the band feels too tight: go up a band size and down a cup size If the band feels too loose: go down a band size and up a cup size A snug band is essential for sports bras, as most support comes from the band rather than the shoulder straps. Measuring Yourself Correctly While we don’t rely on measuring tapes in the fitting room, taking your own measurements at home can be a helpful starting point if you’re shopping online. Use a soft tape measure to record two key measurements: Band size: measure snugly around your rib cage Bust size: measure around the fullest part of your breasts These numbers give you a baseline to explore potential sizes using our size guide and help you make informed choices online. For the most accurate fit and personalised advice, booking a complimentary in-store or virtual fitting with one of our expert fitters is always the best option, they’ll assess your body, activity level, and preferred bra style to find your perfect sports bra. Signs You May Need a Sister Size Sister sizing can help if you experience any of the following: Straps digging into your shoulders Band riding up your back Breasts spilling over or protruding from the cups Cups fitting well but the band feels uncomfortable The bra feels tight even on the loosest hook If the cups fit but the band is off, sister sizing is often the solution. Sister Sizing and Sports Bra Styles Not all sports bras behave the same. Wire-free, underwired, and compression styles all distribute support differently, so understanding how sister sizing works can help you adjust the band and cup to suit your body and the style of bra. High-impact sports bras benefit from a snug band and correct cup volume to minimise movement, for example, the Panache Sport Endurance Non Padded Wired Sports Bra offers firm support for running, HIIT, or other high-intensity activities. Lower-impact bras may prioritise comfort and flexibility, making sister sizing useful if you prefer a slightly different feel, a style like the Goddess Katarina Low Intensity Non Wired Sports Bra is perfect for low-intensity activities like walking or yoga. Explore our full range of underwired sports bras and non-wired sports bras to find your ideal fit and support level. Common Sister Size Examples If you typically wear a 12D, sister sizes include 14C or 10DD If you wear a 14E, sister sizes include 12F and 16DD Using these examples with a sister size chart makes it easier to identify the right adjustments when trying new bras. When to Use Sister Sizing Sister sizing is particularly useful when: Trying a new bra brand Switching between sports bra styles Your usual size feels tight or loose You are between sizes on a size chart It can also help if your body has changed due to weight fluctuation or hormonal shifts. The Role of a Professional Bra Fitter While sister sizing is a powerful tool, nothing replaces the expertise of a professional bra fitter. Our fitters assess breast shape, band length, cup fit, and how the bra performs during movement. They can recommend the ideal sister size, style, and level of support for your body and activity. Many women find that one fitting session can make a significant difference to comfort, confidence, and performance. Browse our sports bra collection or book an appointment online to get expert advice and a bra that keeps you supported, confident, and comfortable through every activity. Frequently Asked Questions What is sister sizing in bras? Sister sizing means moving up or down a band size while doing the opposite with the cup size to maintain the same cup volume. For example, a 12G and a 14FF are sister sizes. When should I use a sister size? Try a sister size when your usual size feels slightly off in a new brand, your band is too tight or too loose, or you're between sizes on a size chart. Does sister sizing apply to sports bras? Yes, and it's especially useful for sports bras, which are designed to fit slightly firmer than everyday bras. A sister size adjustment can help you find the right combination of band snugness and cup volume. If the cups fit but the band is uncomfortable, what should I do? Go up a band size and down a cup size. This keeps the same cup volume but gives the band more room, for example, from a 12F to a 14E. Is measuring yourself at home enough to find the right size? Home measurements are a useful starting point, but a professional fitting considers breast shape, support needs, and how the bra performs on your body which measurements alone can't capture.

What is the Most Flattering Swimsuit ...
Colour can completely transform the way a swimsuit looks on the body. The right shade can make your skin glow, highlight your natural beauty, and help you feel confident from the moment you slip it on. While body shape often gets the most attention when choosing swimwear, colour plays a surprisingly powerful role. Understanding your undertones, contrast, and personal style makes it much easier to select swimwear that feels like it was made for you. Explore our full swim collection here to see all colours in one place. Understanding skin tone and undertone Skin tone refers to how light or dark your skin appears on the surface, while undertone is the subtle cast beneath the skin that rarely changes. Undertones typically fall into three categories: warm, cool, or neutral. A simple way to check is through the vein test. Look at the veins on your wrist in natural light. If they appear blue or purple, your undertone is cool. If they seem green or slightly yellow, your undertone is warm. If it is hard to tell, you may have a neutral undertone. Jewellery can also help, silver generally flatters cool tones, while gold highlights warm undertones. Once you know your undertone, choosing colours that complement your natural glow becomes much easier. Best swimsuit colours for warm skin tones Warm skin tones have hints of yellow or golden hues, and they look radiant in shades that echo that warmth. Rich reds, coral, burgundy, warm greens, and earthy neutrals enhance your natural glow. Even soft pastels like ivory or peachy tones work beautifully, highlighting warmth without washing out the skin. Deeper shades such as navy and teal also create a polished contrast that looks vibrant but not harsh. For swimsuits that complement warm skin tones, explore our coral swim collection here or navy swim collection here for options that feel naturally radiant. Best swimsuit colours for cool undertones Cool undertones have subtle hints of pink, rosy blush, or blue. These tones pair beautifully with cooler shades like emerald green, lavender, icy blue, purple, or navy. Darker shades like black or charcoal also look sophisticated while providing contrast. For those who love a pop of colour, bright sapphire blue, emerald, or a soft hot pink can add playful energy without clashing. Check out our green swim collection here or purple swim collection here for pieces that highlight the coolness in your skin. Best swimsuit colours for neutral skin tones Neutral skin tones can wear a wide range of colours with ease. Softer jewel tones, warm navy, muted greens, dusty pinks, and balanced pastels look flattering without overpowering the complexion. Neutral tones can also experiment with brighter colours like red or coral for a playful twist. Browse our neutral swim collection here or red swim collection here to discover versatile shades that look great across many undertones. Neutral tones allow you to mix and match freely, making it easy to build a swim wardrobe that feels both classic and fun. Flattering colours for darker skin Darker skin tones suit most colours. Bright, bold shades like red, hot pink, emerald green, navy, or yellow pop beautifully against deeper complexions, while softer pastels like pale blue or ivory create gentle contrast that lets your skin glow. Rich, darker shades like deep purple, chocolate brown, or forest green bring a luxurious finish without dulling the skin. For a mix of bold and soft, explore our yellow swim collection here or animal print swim collection here. Flattering colours for fair skin Fair skin often looks best with colours that provide contrast without overwhelming softness. Cool fair tones suit purple, navy, teal, or blue, while warm fair skin pairs beautifully with coral, soft pinks, or red. These shades give depth and highlight the skin without washing it out. Check out our black swim collection here or coral swim collection for styles that enhance fair skin beautifully. Colours that flatter most people Certain colours work across a wide range of skin tones and undertones. Navy, emerald green, deep red, teal, charcoal, and soft peach are widely flattering, creating depth, contrast, and a natural glow. These shades tend to appear rich in natural sunlight and are reliable choices when you’re unsure which way to go. Explore all swim here to find these long-term favourites. Personal style matters too While undertones can guide your choices, personal style plays a huge part. If bright pink, bold animal print, or soft pastels make you feel happiest, that confidence is what truly makes a swimsuit flattering. Frequently Asked Questions How do I find my skin undertone? Check your wrist veins in natural light. Blue or purple veins suggest a cool undertone; green or yellowish veins suggest warm. If you can't tell, you likely have a neutral undertone. What swimsuit colours suit warm skin tones? Rich reds, coral, burgundy, warm greens, earthy neutrals, ivory, and peachy tones all complement warm undertones. Navy and teal also create a polished contrast. What colours work for cool undertones? Emerald green, lavender, icy blue, purple, navy, black, and charcoal all look striking on cool undertones. Bright sapphire blue or hot pink also work well. Are there swimsuit colours that look good on everyone? Navy, emerald green, deep red, teal, charcoal, and soft peach are widely flattering across many skin tones and undertones, especially in natural sunlight. Does personal style matter more than skin tone when choosing swimwear? Absolutely. If a colour makes you feel confident and happy, that matters most. Skin tone guidance helps when you're unsure, but wearing what you love is always the best choice.

What Bra To Wear With a Milkmaid Top?
Square necklines have made a stylish comeback, and it’s easy to see why. With their flattering cut and versatile shape, square neck tops suit everything from casual daytime outfits to dressier looks. Milkmaid tops are a popular example, but the same principles apply to puff-sleeve blouses, peplum tops, and square-neck dresses. The challenge? Choosing a bra that supports your bust while staying invisible under the neckline. If you’ve ever stood in front of the mirror wondering what works best, this guide walks you through the options so you can feel confident and comfortable in your square-necked favourites. Why Square Neck Tops Can Be Tricky to Style The defining feature of square neck tops is, of course, the neckline itself. Square necklines sit wider across the chest and often lower on the bust, which means standard bras can peek out or disrupt the clean lines of your top. Because these tops are designed to frame the bust, the right bra needs to provide support, coverage, and a smooth finish without interfering with the shape. Strap placement, cup shape, and neckline depth all play a role in making the bra disappear under your outfit. Best Bras to Wear With a Square Neck Top Balconette Bras - Our Top Pick Balconette bras are often the best first option for square necklines. Their cups lift from below and create a naturally rounded shape while staying cut straight enough to follow the neckline. Many of our customers love the flattering lift of the Panache Tango Essence Balconette Bra and the way the cups sit cleanly under tops. Another great product example is the Sculptresse Esme Balconette Bra, supportive, smooth, and elegant under fitted or structured tops. Strapless Bras - Versatile and Reliable A strapless bra is a classic option for square necklines. Most of our strapless bras also come with detachable straps, which gives you the flexibility to go strapless, add clear straps, or even style the bra with your outfit if needed. Look for underwire and wide-set support for extra grip and comfort. Favorites include the 365 Moulded Strapless Bra and the Elomi Smooth Moulded Strapless, both of which are secure and smooth for daily wear or special occasions or browse our party bras collection for strapless and occasion styles perfect for formals, weddings, and nights out. Plunge Bras – For Styling, Not Hiding! Plunge bras are tricky under square neck tops if you’re looking for something that won’t show, because most have a higher apex, which can peek out under the neckline. However, if your goal is to intentionally style the bra as part of the outfit, for example, showing off delicate lace, a plunge bra can be a beautiful option. Our fitters often recommend the Panache Allure Demi Plunge Bra for those who want a decorative, fashion-forward look. Nipple Covers, Boob Tape & Silicone Bras For a truly invisible finish under square necklines, there are several creative options depending on your bust size and the look you want: Silicone Sticky Bras – These are ideal for smaller busts up to about a DD cup where you want lift and shaping without straps or bands. These work beautifully under square-neck tops, giving a smooth, seamless silhouette. Boob Tape – A versatile option for all cup sizes. Our 5cm and 10cm boob tape allow you to lift, shape, and position your breasts in a variety of ways, mimicking the effect of different bra styles. This is perfect when you don’t have a bra that matches your neckline exactly. Nipple Covers – Our non-adhesive covers are a simple solution for coverage, especially when wearing tops with a bit of structure or a form-fitting fabric to hold them in place. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for adding modesty without changing your shape. Each of these options provides coverage and shaping while remaining invisible under square-neck tops. What to Look for in the Right Bra Fit is everything. A bra that sits flat, supports evenly, and feels secure without digging in will enhance your shape under any square-neck top. Other design details matter too: Seamless cups: Avoid lines under fitted tops. Underwire bras: Offer extra support for larger busts. Adjustable straps: Let you customise placement depending on your top. Coverage: Choose a bra that complements the neckline rather than competes with it. Styling Square Neck Tops for Different Occasions Square neck tops are surprisingly versatile and can work across casual, office, and dressier settings, you just need to choose the right bra. Work & Everyday – A supportive balconette bra is usually the safest choice for structured or office-friendly square neck tops. It provides lift and a rounded shape while staying hidden under most necklines. A smooth option like the Panache Envy Balconette Bra keeps the look polished and professional. Casual Looks – For relaxed or weekend outfits, you can either keep things minimal with nipple covers, or lean into the look and let a pretty bra show. A plunging-style bralette or wire-free bra with lace detailing, such as the Wacoal Embrace Lace Non Wired Bralette, can complement the neckline and become part of the outfit rather than something to hide. Special Occasions – For lower-cut square necklines or event dressing, a supportive strapless bra is often the most reliable option, creating lift while keeping the neckline clean, try the Panache Faith Plunge Strapless Bra for a secure finish. For harder-to-style pieces like backless dresses or cutaway detailing, accessories such as boob tape or a silicone sticky bra offer flexible shaping and support when a traditional bra won’t work. Finding the Best Bra for Square Neck Tops at DeBra’s At DeBra’s, we understand that square-neck outfits need bras that support, shape, and stay invisible under the neckline. Our range includes balconette bras, strapless bras with optional straps, silicone bras, boob tape, nipple covers, and carefully selected plunge styles for when you want to style your bra as part of the look. With over 25 years of fitting expertise and cup sizes from A to LL, our experienced team is here to help you find the perfect bra to work with your outfit, not against it. Book a fitting appointment online, visit us in store, or explore our square neck bra collection. We also offer virtual fittings, phone consultations, and live chat support to make finding your ideal bra simple and stress-free. Frequently Asked Questions What type of bra is best under a square neck or milkmaid top? Balconette bras are usually the top pick, they lift from below and sit straight enough across the top to stay hidden under the neckline. Strapless bras are another reliable option. Can I wear a plunge bra with a milkmaid top? Only if you intend to show it. Plunge bras have a higher apex that can peek out under the neckline, but delicate lace plunge styles can be worn intentionally as part of the outfit. What is the most invisible option under a square neckline? Silicone sticky bras, boob tape, or nipple covers give the cleanest finish under square neck tops. These work especially well when no traditional bra style fits the neckline. What bra should I wear with a square neck top to a special occasion? A supportive strapless bra such as the Panache Faith Plunge Strapless keeps the neckline clean and provides secure lift for event dressing. What should I look for in a bra that won't show under a milkmaid top? Seamless cups, a low or matching cup height to the neckline, and adjustable straps that allow you to customise placement are the most important features to check.

How to Tie a Sarong?
A sarong is one of the most versatile beach accessories you can own. Lightweight, easy to style, and perfect for wearing over a bikini, it can transform from a skirt to a dress with just a few clever knots. Once you know a few simple ways to tie it, a sarong can be styled to suit your mood, your outfit, and every poolside or beachside occasion. Here’s a simple guide to help you feel confident tying a sarong in several classic styles. Classic skirt style The easiest and most popular way to tie a sarong is as a skirt, quick, flattering, and perfect for poolside walks. How to tie it: Wrap the sarong horizontally around your waist and bring the two corners together at one side. Tie a double knot and adjust the fabric so it sits flat around your hips. You can shorten the length by folding the top edge down before wrapping. This style gives light coverage across the legs while keeping the look breezy. Product tip: A classic midi-length style works beautifully with the Sunset Frayed Sarong, designed to sit perfectly at mid-length for a relaxed, versatile look. Mini skirt style For something playful and fun, a mini skirt is a great option. How to tie it: Fold the sarong in half horizontally to create a shorter length. Wrap it around your waist, bring the corners together, and secure with a double knot. Adjust the fold to create a flared hem for a relaxed, angled finish. Perfect for beach clubs, quick dips, or a sunny afternoon by the pool. Product tip: Try the Castaway Mid Length Mesh Wrap for a light, playful vibe that’s easy to throw on over any bikini. Maxi skirt style A longer style gives more coverage and creates an elegant, flowing shape for strolling along the beach. How to tie it: Keep the sarong fully open, wrap it around your waist, and tie the two corners in a front knot. Pull one side slightly higher for a draped leg opening. The extra length flows beautifully, ideal for evenings by the ocean or casual resort dinners. Product tip: The oversized Jungle Lino Sarong is perfect for this style, offering a dramatic, flowing silhouette for effortless elegance. Strapless dress style Transform your sarong into a lightweight, strapless dress for a chic, effortless look. How to tie it: Hold the sarong behind your back with the top edge at your chest. Bring the two top corners forward, cross them over your bust, and tie securely. Tuck any excess fabric under the knot for a clean finish. This style is perfect for lunch or poolside drinks over your swimwear. Product tip: The Lita Sarong is designed to double as both a skirt and a strapless dress, giving maximum versatility for your resort wardrobe. Halter dress style For a flattering neckline and secure fit, try a halter-style dress. How to tie it: Hold the sarong behind your back, bring the top corners forward and cross over your chest. Pull the ends up to your neck and tie behind your head. Adjust the drape so the fabric flows smoothly. This creates an elegant look for sunset cocktails or resort evenings. Kimono style A sarong can double as a relaxed, lightweight kimono-style layer. How to tie it: Hold the sarong behind your body, place the top corners over your shoulders like a cape, and tie the ends under your arms. Let the fabric drape down the front for easy coverage. Perfect for extra shoulder coverage or a casual poolside outfit. As a top Your sarong can also become a simple, stylish top. How to tie it: Fold the sarong diagonally into a triangle. Wrap across your bust, tie the top corner around your neck like a halter, and secure the other two ends behind your back. Adjust the drape for comfort. Works well for poolside afternoons or layered with shorts. Tips for tying your sarong Choose lightweight fabrics so the sarong drapes smoothly. Pull gently when tying to keep edges flat. For more structure, tie corners twice; for a softer look, keep knots loose. Experiment with diagonal folds, twists, and different placements. Choose prints and colours that complement your swimwear to create a cohesive look. The most popular styles are a classic skirt, mini skirt, maxi skirt, strapless dress, halter dress, kimono wrap, and a sarong worn as a top. Each involves different knot placement and fabric folding. How do I keep a sarong from slipping? Tie the knot double for more security. Lightweight fabrics drape more smoothly, and folding or tucking excess fabric under the knot adds stability. Can a sarong be worn as a dress? Yes. Hold the sarong at chest height behind you, bring the top corners forward, cross over your bust, and tie securely. A halter version ties behind the neck for a different neckline. What fabric works best for a sarong? Lightweight fabrics drape and wrap most smoothly. Heavier or stiffer fabrics are harder to tie neatly and won't flow as well across multiple styles. How do I style a sarong as a beach coverup? A simple skirt wrap is the quickest beach coverup. For more coverage, try the maxi wrap or the kimono style, which drapes down the front like a lightweight layer.

How Common is Your Bra Size?
Have you ever wondered whether your bra size is “normal”? If it’s average? Rare? Hard to find for a reason? It’s one of the most common questions women quietly ask especially if they’ve struggled to find their size in mainstream stores. But here’s the truth: what’s commonly stocked isn’t the same as what’s actually common. The Myth of the "Average" Bra Size What Statistics Actually Show For years, the fashion industry perpetuated the idea that the average bra size was around 12B or 14B. However, modern fitting data tells a very different story. While many mainstream retailers stock mostly A-D cups in mid-range bands, this reflects manufacturing convenience more than actual fit needs. In reality, properly fitted bras reveal that a significant portion of women wear sizes above what’s commonly stocked. Many women discover they need C, D, E cups and beyond, often paired with a variety of band sizes. This isn’t to discount the fact that plenty of women sit in these sizes, but it highlights how limited stock can skew our perception of “average” and reinforce a cycle where mid-range sizes dominate store shelves. Rather than focusing on what’s considered “common,” it’s more helpful to focus on fit. A well-constructed bra in the correct band and cup size provides support, comfort, and shape regardless of what the numbers say. Proper fitting, whether in-store or virtually, allows women to find the size that truly works for their body. Why the Confusion? A few factors create the illusion that A–D is the standard. Many women are simply wearing the wrong size. Estimates suggest a large percentage of women wear bands that are too loose and cups that are too small. When someone thinks they’re a 14C but is better supported in a 12E, it skews perception of what’s normal. Manufacturing also plays a role. Sizes like 10A–14D are simpler and more cost-effective to mass produce, requiring less structural variation and grading complexity. They’re heavily stocked, sell frequently, and brands interpret that as demand, the cycle continues. This doesn’t discount women who genuinely wear those sizes, but it explains why availability doesn’t reflect true body distribution. There’s also an important quality difference to understand: a 12C from a mass-manufactured retailer is often very different from a 12C from a specialist lingerie brand. Fast fashion bras rely on simpler moulded shapes and lighter materials. Specialist brands use engineered cup grading, multi-panel construction, stronger support fabrics, and refined patterns. Even with the same size label, fit, shape, and support can be completely different. Breaking Down Cup Size Distribution Beyond B and C Cups Whilst B and C cups are common in retail, D cups and above are far more frequent than many realise especially once fitted correctly. But cup sizing is often misunderstood: a cup letter alone doesn’t mean much. Cup size represents the difference between underbust and bust measurements, which changes with band size. A 12D and a 24D are both D cups, but their volumes differ significantly. That’s why saying I’m a D cup tells us little without the band. Sister Sizing Reveals Similarities Bra sizes work on a scaling system. For example: A 12E has a similar cup volume to a 10F or 14DD. A 20H has similar volume to a 18HH or 22GG. The cup volume shifts as the band shifts. Many women are surprised during a fitting they haven’t suddenly grown, they’ve simply found the band-to-cup balance that properly supports their shape. Cup letters shouldn’t be treated as a ranking system. A D isn’t big or small on its own; it’s relative. Explore our full range of sizes here to see what styles are available in your measurements. Band Size Variations The Importance of Band Measurement In Australia, band sizes typically range from 6 to 24+, with many women falling between 10 and 16 when properly fitted. However, it’s very common for women to wear bands that are too loose to compensate for cups that are too small. A well-fitted band should sit firm and level. It provides the majority of a bra’s support straps offer stability, not lift. When the band fits correctly, everything else works better. Underbust Measurement Matters Your band size corresponds roughly to your underbust measurement. Our online size guide can be a helpful starting point if you’re shopping from home. At DeBra’s, we don’t fit by tape alone. We fit by: Shape Support How the bra feels when you move How it sits on your body Numbers are helpful, but how a bra performs is what truly determines fit. The Problem with "Standard" Sizing Why Most Women Wear the Wrong Bra Size When stores only stock a narrow range, women outside it often squeeze into what’s available. Over time, this creates the perception that bodies outside 10A–14D are unusual, when they’re simply underrepresented. This can lead to years of discomfort, adjusting straps, pulling bands down, or assuming your body is the problem. It isn’t. With comprehensive sizing and thoughtful construction, most women discover their size isn’t rare, it just wasn’t stocked. Signs You're in the Wrong Size Common indicators of incorrectly fitted bras include: Bands riding up your back Straps digging in or constantly slipping Spillage over the top or sides Gaping cups Centre gore not sitting flat These are fit issues, not body issues. Body Shape and Breast Tissue Distribution Individual Variations Matter More Than Averages Size alone doesn’t determine fit. Breast shape, tissue density, spacing, and projection all influence what works best. Two women in the same size may need completely different styles. Someone with fuller-on-top breasts may benefit from a balconette bra for lift and shaping. Someone with shallow or wide-set breasts may find a plunge bra more comfortable and flattering. This is why fittings matter. Statistics give context, but your shape determines your best fit. Age and Life Changes Breast tissue changes throughout life, weight fluctuation, hormonal shifts, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and ageing all influence size and shape. The bra that worked five years ago may not work now, and that’s normal. Regular fittings help ensure your bras support the body you have today. Check out our guide to bra fitting through life stages for tips on adjusting your bras over time. Global Variations in Average Breast Size Regional Differences Average sizing differs between countries due to genetics, nutrition and lifestyle. On top of that, international sizing systems vary, UK, US, EU and AU sizing all use different labelling conventions, which adds to the confusion. This is another reason why focusing on average can be misleading. The Rise of Extended Sizing Industry Evolution Thankfully, more brands now recognise that women’s bodies don’t exist within a narrow size bracket. Extended band and cup sizing better reflects real diversity, not just manufacturing convenience. The goal isn’t to fit into what’s common; it’s to find what fits you. What This Means for You Focus on Fit, Not Statistics Rather than asking whether your size is average, ask: Does this bra feel supportive? Does it stay in place all day? Does it enhance your natural shape comfortably? If not, the problem isn’t your body, it’s the bra. Finding Your Perfect Fit at DeBra's At DeBra’s, we fit sizes 6–36 bands and A–KK cups every day. We encourage in-store fittings and virtual fittings, where you can try different styles and feel the difference proper support makes. If you’re shopping online, our size guide is a helpful starting point and we offer exchanges and returns within policy so you can shop with confidence. Because the right bra isn’t about statistics. It’s about how you feel in it. Frequently Asked Questions What is the most common bra size in Australia? While mainstream retail stocks mostly A–D cups in mid-range bands, proper fitting data shows a large proportion of women need sizes above what's commonly stocked. The "average" often reflects manufacturing convenience rather than actual body distribution. Why do so many women wear the wrong bra size? Limited stock in stores leads women to squeeze into what's available. Over time this creates the impression that sizes outside 10A–14D are unusual, when in reality they're just underrepresented. Does cup size mean the same thing across all band sizes? No. Cup volume changes with the band, a 12D and a 16D have very different volumes. Cup letters should always be read alongside band size, not interpreted in isolation. How do I know if I'm in the wrong bra size? Common signs include the band riding up your back, straps digging in or slipping, spillage over the cups, gaping at the top, and the centre gore not lying flat against your chest. What is the best way to find my correct bra size? A professional fitting in-store or virtual is the most reliable method. A fitter assesses your shape, breast tissue distribution, and how the bra performs on your body, which tape measurements alone cannot determine.
